About Me:

Following a long, successful career as a writer/director in film and television, I wrote my first novel -- HANNAH'S WAR, published by Little/Brown  -- and have just completed my second book. I grew up in Manhattan where I currently live with Quinnie, my dachshund mix, and my adult daughter. I've been a devout Francophile since my first trip to France when I was ten years old. I learned French starting in third grade so I have a decent foundation in the language and an excellent accent, but I need to recover the vocabulary and grammar I lost in the ensuing years. I'm looking to make a move to France in 2026 and am embarking on a long scouting trip from Sept - Dec. I've spent most of my time in Paris, but want to live in the South.
