I'm a foodie. Give me the top ten food towns.
That’s probably not possible. Virtually every town on this list is known for excellent food. (It is France, after all!) Here are some of the towns perhaps most well-known for food. But truly, every town on this site is a good food town…otherwise, it would not have made the list.
- Aix (known for bouillabaisse, tapenade, ratatouille)
- Bordeaux (known for beef, foie gras and Cap Ferret oysters)
- Dijon (everything….an entire cuisine)
- La Rochelle (known particularly for oysters)
- Lyon (everything….an entire cuisine)
- Nantes (influence by Breton cuisine, known for seafood)
- Perpignan (heavily influenced by both French & Catalan, known for seafood and cassoulet)
- Strasbourg (particularly for Alsatian cuisine)
- Vence (Nicoise and Provencal cuisine)
- Uzes (particularly for truffles)
