Spent a week in Paris in 2023, and I felt completely at home -- it was odd, it was almost like there was a me-shaped hole waiting to be filled. Then in April 2026 my husband and I spent 10 days in Vincennes and Paris proper, and this affirmed our love of the area. We do not wish to move to Paris, but we can envision part-time living in France. Whether in Ile de France, or one of the principal towns in Centre Val-de-Loire, Bourgogne Franche-Comte, Pays de la Loire, or potentially in the area of La Rochelle, we are exploring what’s possible.
