Here is the very first forum comment about Colmar, just to get the ball rolling. Colmar is a gorgeous town, full of canals and charm, which is all the more remarkable considering it was heavily damaged in WWII. It's an interesting mix of culture: French, Alpine, and a lot of Swiss influence.
