Uzes is on the top of our list for spending more and more time each year, and possibly moving there someday. One thing that worries me is access to medical care, especially urgent care. We went through a serious and unexpected health scare (a stroke) this spring, and we wonder how it would have turned out if we were living in Uzes. I'd love to know about your experiences with emergency medical care
I think it's a reasonable worry. Nimes is not far away (40 min drive) and I know for a fact it's world-class health care there. But Uzes while it does have excellent doctors and suprisingly good diagnostics (I got blood tests and an ultrasound within one block's walk of my doctor's office which was 4 blocks walk from my house....I think there is a real issue for urgent care.
