It is a university town, so biking is common. There are also multiple biking trails in the region
Mont-de-Marsan might be one of the least 'discovered' towns on our list. Nevertheless we chose it, probably because we know people who have recently moved there, whose opinion we respect a great deal, who moved there about two years ago, and having stopped praising it. So, unlike other towns, no "blockbuster" quotes but a solid feeling that it checks a lot of boxes for many people. It's prime weakness may be that it hasn't been praised for scenery, but it's Southern France....how bad can it be?
