- Accommodation in a vetted, high quality apartment, well located for all activities (21 days, arriving March 18/departing April 8th)
- Entire course curriculum, which includes an in-depth only course
- A quick primer of basic knowledge so we can ask the most useful questions. s)
- Where do I belong? Climate, Transportation, Healthcare,Welcome, Costs and ”Other Stuff”. You’ll end up with the 5 best towns for you.
- How do I belong? 1) Getting as good at the French language including assessment of your current level and learning style 2) Honestly assessing your resiliency skills for the adjustment required in relocating.
- Curriculum in Angers, which is tailored to the participants’ interests and is delivered in partnership with the English Language Library. Last year’s trip included:
- Music concerts, dinners and aperos in the homes of local volunteers
- Visits and seminars on vaarious housing options (senior, real estate seminars)
- Panel discussion with locals whose topics included:
- Why Angers?
- French family life & culture
- Local food & wine
- Tech & French Admin
- Tours locally and to neighboring towns of interest: Tours, Saumur, Rennes
- Local language partners to complete 6 hours of French conversation
Approximately 1/3 of your waking hours is likely to have an activity scheduled, with a busier schedule the first few days, and allowing for more free time as you acquire more knowledge and can explore on your own.

- Three tracks of more intensive study:
- French Language

- French Admin (visas and all things legal)
You’ll partner with professionals and peers who share their knowledge and time with you in practical daily skill-building for three sessions a week (in addition to the standard content). If you choose these, you will very likely have a completely full day everyday.

2. Add-on towns: We can arrange additional support for stays in the following towns. This service can include accommodation or not as you prefer:
- Strasbourg
- Dijon
- Bordeaux
- Montpellier (+ Beziers)
- Nimes (+ Uzes)
- Nice (+ Vence)
Add-on services comprise of a trusted local mentor and, when available, contacts for any expat groups in the location. We can also arrange or advise you on accommodation.
What’s NOT included:
- Meals: Each apartment includes a well-equipped kitchen. In addition, Angers has countless restaurants with all kinds of price ranges. What meals will cost can range from what you spend on groceries at home (or a little less!) to the ‘sky’s-the-limit’ if you choose the many fine dining options.
- Ground Transportation: Plan on paying for trainfare to and from your arriving airport (likely around €100) and the excellent local transportation, should you choose it. Prices vary depending on usage, class, and when and how you purchase your tickets. We can advise.
- Airfare: One reason we chose Angers is that it is an easy trip (non-stop TGV) from the CDG airport outside Paris, by far the largest international airport in France. Prices vary. We have a partnership with an experienced travel agent should you want help choosing and purchasing your flight.
Your per person price can vary as much at $2711 – $4741 pp. There are two variables:
- Per person occupancy of each apartment.
- The type of apartment chosen.
